Development of the Sahara Tataouine region

Started in 2018 and is ongoing.

The Program has been implemented with the National Agency for Energy Conservation (ANME) in collaboration with STEG (Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas). It includes the installation of Solar Power plants in several regions in Tunisia, namely: i) Borj Bourguiba plant in Tataouine (200 MW), ii) Sidi Bouzid plant (50 MW), iii) Gafsa solar park (120MW), and iv) Solar Photovoltaic Plant – Tozeur (50 MW) 

The project will be developed on a build, own, operate (BOO) model and promote private sector participation in the Tunisian power sector generation.
